Website development company in Navi Mumbai: what we build and how we work

Crystal Design is a website development company in Navi Mumbai, based in Kopar Khairane and working with businesses across Navi Mumbai, Thane and Mumbai since 2015. We plan, design, build and launch business websites, product catalogues, online stores and web portals, then keep them updated and secure after launch.

This page covers the decisions that shape a website project: the type of site, the process, technology, what to expect in the build, ownership, timelines and support after launch. To judge the finished result for yourself, open a few sites from our portfolio of client websites on your phone.

Which type of website your business needs

Most projects fall into one of the four types below. Settle this first, because each type is built differently, and switching from one to another after launch usually means reworking a large part of the site.

The most common mix-up is between a store and a catalogue. If customers would happily pay the listed price by UPI or card, build a store. If most orders begin with "what rate for 500 pieces?", a catalogue with a quotation form serves better and costs less to run. Selling online brings its own checklist, from payment gateway approval to GST on invoices; see our e-commerce website development page for that side of the work.

  • Business (informative) website: for service firms such as clinics, CA practices, contractors, interior designers and consultants. It explains what you do, shows your work as proof, and turns visitors into calls, WhatsApp messages or enquiries.
  • Product catalogue website: for manufacturers, traders and distributors, including industrial units in Mahape, Rabale and Turbhe. Every product gets its own page with photos and specifications, and buyers request a quotation instead of paying online.
  • E-commerce website: for businesses that sell at fixed prices and collect payment upfront. It adds a cart, checkout, payment gateway, order tracking, stock and shipping rules.
  • Web application or portal: for work that happens after a login, such as dealer ordering, customer accounts, online bookings or an internal tool connected to your CRM or ERP. These are scoped by features, not by page count.

How a website project runs, from first call to handover

Every build goes through the same eight stages. Knowing them in advance shows you where your input is needed and when.

  • Discovery: your services, customers, the areas you serve and what a good enquiry looks like. For an existing site, we also list its pages and which ones bring visitors.
  • Sitemap and scope: a written page list and feature list, agreed before design starts, so there are no surprises about what is being built.
  • Design: the look is agreed on the home page and a sample inner page, on phone and desktop, before the remaining pages follow the same style.
  • Build: pages are developed on the chosen platform, and the agreed features, such as the admin panel, enquiry forms, WhatsApp button and map, are connected.
  • Content: text, photos, products and project details are placed and formatted, and each page gets its own title and meta description.
  • Testing: pages checked on Android, iPhone and desktop browsers, test enquiries sent to confirm they arrive, and speed and broken links checked.
  • Launch: the domain is pointed to the new site, HTTPS is switched on and the sitemap is submitted in Google Search Console. If the site replaces an old one, every old page address that changes is permanently redirected to its closest new page, so existing Google visibility and shared links carry over.
  • Handover: admin logins, a short walkthrough of editing pages or adding products, and a record of where the domain, hosting and email are registered.

Static, WordPress or custom PHP: choosing the right technology

The platform should follow from who will update the site, how often, and what it has to do, so we pick one per project. As a simple rule: if nobody will log in after launch, go static; if someone will post products, projects or blogs regularly, choose WordPress; if the site must follow business rules that no plugin handles, build it custom.

If WordPress looks like the right fit, read about our WordPress website development service.

  • Static or modern-framework build: pages are generated in advance and served as plain files, so they load fast, offer attackers little to target and are cheap to host. Best when content changes only a few times a year.
  • WordPress: a familiar admin panel, a large plugin library, and easy updates to blogs, galleries and products. Best when your team will add content every month. Its core, theme and plugins need regular updates, so it should come with maintenance.
  • Custom PHP and MySQL: code written for your exact workflow, such as dealer logins, quotation builders, booking rules or syncing with billing or CRM software. Best when no plugin fits without workarounds. It costs more to build, but you are not relying on third-party plugins that can clash or stop being updated.

What a business website should include, and what varies by package

Use the checklist below to judge any website quote, including ours. If an item is missing, ask whether it is excluded or simply not written down.

Our informative and product-based packages all include an SSL certificate, WhatsApp chat integration and social media buttons. Page count, Google Map integration, an admin panel, an SEO-friendly build and the number of products we upload vary by package, and each package states what it covers.

  • Mobile-first responsive design, checked on phones, tablets and desktops
  • HTTPS through a valid SSL certificate, so browsers do not flag the site as not secure
  • Fast loading: compressed images, lean code and caching
  • On-page SEO basics: unique titles and meta descriptions, clean URLs, proper heading order, image alt text and an XML sitemap
  • Enquiry forms that reach your inbox, plus click-to-call on mobile
  • A WhatsApp chat button, so visitors can message you in one tap
  • A Google Map, address, phone number and hours that match your Google Business Profile
  • Google Analytics and Search Console set up under your business's own Google account
  • Buttons linking to your social media profiles

You should own the domain, hosting and website files

Ownership should be settled from day one. The domain, hosting account and official email ought to be registered in your business name, with the logins shared with you, even when a developer manages them. If a developer holds your domain in their own name and the relationship ends, your website address and email can go with them.

We also host websites, and our server plans include daily backups, free SSL, a CDN and migration of an existing site; see our web hosting services for the options. Whoever hosts the site, keep the domain registered to your business.

At handover you should receive admin access to the website. Also agree in writing, before the build starts, that you can take a full copy of the files and database if you ever change developers.

How long a website takes: 5 to 60 working days, depending on type

Our published packages give build times in working days: 5–7 for the smallest static informative site, up to 20–25 for the largest informative and product-based packages, and 15 to 60 for e-commerce, depending on the number of product categories. Portals and web applications are scheduled after scoping, because their length depends on the features agreed.

These timelines assume content and approvals arrive on time. In practice, delays usually come from missing inputs rather than development. The common ones:

  • Page text still being written after the design is approved
  • Product photos and specifications arriving in instalments
  • Domain or hosting logins held by a previous developer or former employee
  • Feedback from several partners sent separately instead of as one list
  • Payment gateway KYC for online stores, which runs on the gateway's schedule

After launch: maintenance (AMC) and getting found on Google

A live website needs looking after. WordPress and plugins release updates, backups need checking, forms can stop sending after an email or server change, and your prices, staff and services change. An annual maintenance contract (AMC) covers this for a fixed yearly fee; e-commerce sites have their own AMC rate, since a store has more parts to keep running.

Our website and CRM maintenance services cover updates, bug fixes, backups, security checks and routine content changes. Whoever maintains your site, agree in writing what the AMC includes, such as how many content changes it covers, and what is billed as new work.

Launch is also the starting point for search visibility. Basic SEO helps Google crawl and understand your pages, but it does not by itself win competitive searches. The map results depend on your Google Business Profile and your distance from the searcher, while the regular results for searches in Vashi, Nerul, Kharghar or Belapur take ongoing local SEO and content work. No one can guarantee a position in either.

What to send for an accurate website quote

Prices depend on scope, so a useful quote starts with three details: the type of website from the list above, a rough count of pages or products, and your must-have features. Links to two or three websites you like, and one you dislike, help even more.

To compare tiers first, see our website packages, which list the pages, features, technology and timeline for each. If your requirement does not fit a package, contact our Kopar Khairane office by phone, WhatsApp or email and we will scope it with you.

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Our packages list 5–7 working days for the smallest static informative site and up to 20–25 working days for the largest informative and product-based sites. E-commerce packages list 15 to 60 working days, depending on the number of product categories. These timelines assume content and feedback arrive on time.

Yes, if your website has an admin panel. Our informative and product-based packages include one from the semi-dynamic tier upwards, so you can edit text and add blog posts, photos, projects or products without touching code. The entry-level static packages have no admin panel and are updated by the developer, which suits businesses whose content rarely changes.

A common cause of lost traffic after a redesign is old page addresses that stop working. We list the existing pages, keep or permanently redirect each URL, carry over content that already performs, and check Google Search Console after launch. No one can guarantee rankings, but these steps avoid the losses caused by broken addresses.

No. On our published packages, the one-time build price covers design and development, while domain, hosting, official email and AMC are listed as separate yearly charges. That way you can see exactly what recurs every year.

No. We work with businesses across Navi Mumbai, Thane and Mumbai. You can meet us at our Kopar Khairane office, or run the whole project over phone, WhatsApp and email.

Your logo, business details, the list of services or products to feature, photos of your work, premises or products, and access to your domain if you already own one. If the page text is not written yet, say so at the start so it can be planned into the timeline.
