E-Commerce Website Development Services
E-commerce website development in Navi Mumbai for shops, brands and wholesalers
Crystal Design offers e-commerce website development in Navi Mumbai for businesses that want to take orders and payments on their own website, not only through Instagram or WhatsApp. We build on the platform that suits your catalogue, whether WooCommerce, Shopify or a custom build, and set up the parts that decide whether a store works day to day: UPI and card checkout, GST invoices, stock, shipping and cash on delivery.
We have been building websites since 2015, and our office is in Sector 6, Kopar Khairane, so you can bring your product list and talk the store through in person before you commit. A store of your own is worth considering if you are one of these:
- A shop or boutique in Vashi, Nerul, Kharghar or Seawoods adding online orders
- A food, cosmetics, apparel or gifting brand that has outgrown taking orders in DMs
- An APMC trader or wholesaler in Vashi handling repeat B2B orders
- A manufacturer along Thane-Belapur Road selling spares or consumables direct
- A marketplace seller who wants a channel where you own the customer relationship
- An existing store that is slow, hard to update or losing orders at checkout
What an e-commerce build includes and how packages are sized
Our e-commerce packages are sized by the number of product categories, from stores with up to five categories to catalogues with more than 25. Larger packages add modules such as stock management, customer login, offers and discounts, wishlist and delivery management. Prices depend on scope, so see our website packages for what each tier includes. Depending on the package, a build can include:
- Mobile-first home, category, product, cart and checkout pages
- Category tree, filters and variants such as size or colour
- A starting set of products uploaded in every category
- Payment gateway for UPI, cards, net banking and wallets
- GST tax invoices created automatically with each order
- Stock levels, order status and customer notifications
- Shipping charges, pincode checks and cash on delivery rules
- Admin panel for products, prices, coupons and orders
- Policy pages the payment gateway asks for, plus WhatsApp chat and SSL
WooCommerce, Shopify or a custom build: how to choose
There is no single best platform. The right one depends on how unusual your selling rules are, who will run the store day to day, and whether you prefer a subscription or controlling your own setup. Settle it first, because changing platform after launch means redoing most of the work.
WooCommerce, which runs on WordPress, is a sound default for most retailers and D2C brands. You control the site and choose your own hosting, and there is no platform subscription, though premium plugins can carry yearly licence fees. GST invoices, Indian payment gateways and COD rules are handled through widely used plugins and settings. It needs regular updates, and it shares its foundations with our WordPress website development work.
Shopify is a hosted platform on a subscription plan, with hosting, security and uptime handled for you, and suits brands that want to run the store themselves. Budget for paid apps, and check what your plan charges on orders paid through third-party payment gateways. Our Shopify website development service covers this route.
A custom build fits rules that standard stores handle poorly: customer-specific wholesale prices, prices linked to a daily gold rate, made-to-order products or tight syncing with billing software. There is no platform fee, but new features and changes to how the store works need a developer. As a quick guide:
- Wholesale or customer-specific pricing: WooCommerce or custom
- Prices tied to a daily gold or silver rate: usually custom
- You want to manage products and orders without a developer: Shopify or WooCommerce
- Stock must sync with your billing or ERP software: WooCommerce or custom
- Small catalogue and a quick launch: Shopify or WooCommerce
Catalogue structure and product pages that answer buyers' questions
Many stores lose sales in the catalogue long before checkout. A shopper who cannot find the right category, or cannot tell whether a product suits them, leaves or messages you and waits. We plan categories around how your customers search, not around internal item codes.
Early on we ask for a product sheet with the name, category, variants, price, stock, weight, HSN code and GST rate of every item, because a complete sheet is what keeps a launch on schedule. Each product page then shows:
- Clear photos with zoom, including an in-use shot where it helps
- Price with GST, delivery charge and expected delivery date for the shopper's pincode
- All variants on one page, not a string of near-identical products
- Specifications and the return policy close to Add to Cart
- For packaged goods, Legal Metrology details such as MRP, net quantity and country of origin
Checkout, UPI payments and GST-correct invoices
Many Indian shoppers prefer to pay by UPI, so on mobile the checkout should open their UPI app directly instead of asking them to type a UPI ID. We integrate gateways such as Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree or CCAvenue for UPI, cards, net banking and wallets. Gateways review your website before approving live payments, so policy pages, contact details and prices must be in place first.
If you are registered under GST, every order should produce a tax invoice. For a seller registered in Maharashtra, goods delivered within Maharashtra carry CGST and SGST, while goods delivered to Bengaluru or Delhi carry IGST; the store works this out from the delivery address. Have your CA check the tax settings, including how delivery charges and discounts are taxed, before the first live order. Each invoice should carry:
- Your GSTIN, plus the HSN code and tax rate on every line
- Consecutive invoice numbers, unique within each financial year
- The buyer's GSTIN when entered, so business buyers can claim input tax credit
- An IRN and QR code on B2B invoices if your turnover brings you under GST e-invoicing
Shipping, COD and delivery across Navi Mumbai, Mumbai and Thane
Many first-time buyers still prefer cash on delivery, but a refused COD parcel usually costs you courier charges both ways. So we set COD rules rather than simply switching it on.
Being local helps too. Pincode rules can give nearby orders same-day or next-day delivery by your own staff, offer pickup from your shop, and send everything else by courier, with the expected date shown before payment.
Automated order updates on WhatsApp need the WhatsApp Business Platform (API) with approved message templates; the free WhatsApp Business app cannot send them from your store. Transactional SMS in India also needs a sender ID and message templates registered on the DLT system.
- COD limited by order value or pincode, with an optional COD fee shown before checkout
- WhatsApp or OTP confirmation before a COD order ships
- A small prepaid discount that nudges buyers towards UPI
- Courier or aggregator integration (Shiprocket, Delhivery or similar) for labels and tracking
Admin panel, stock control, security and SEO foundations
Staff can get their own admin logins with limited roles, so the person packing orders does not need access to reports or settings. If you already run billing or ERP software, the store should not become a second set of stock figures. Because we also build CRM and ERP software, we can plan how orders, stock and invoices sync with the system you already use.
Security basics belong in the build: SSL, two-factor login for admin accounts and scheduled backups. Card details are handled by the payment gateway, not stored on your server. Our hosting services include a CDN and daily backups if you want one team for both.
SEO foundations go in from day one. Ranking for competitive product searches then takes ongoing work, which our e-commerce SEO service covers, and no one can honestly guarantee positions.
- Readable URLs and one URL per product
- A unique title and short intro on every category page
- Product structured data for price and availability
- Filter and sort URLs handled so they do not create duplicate pages in Google
- Temporarily out-of-stock products kept live with a notify-me option, not deleted
How an e-commerce project runs, step by step
Product content, not code, is the usual cause of delay, so start collecting photos and filling in the product sheet on day one.
- 1. Discovery: your products, customers, GST status, shipping and current order flow
- 2. Platform recommendation and a written scope
- 3. Category plan and mobile-first page designs while you gather product data
- 4. Build of the storefront, checkout, admin panel and policy pages
- 5. Payment gateway, shipping, invoice and notification setup
- 6. Product upload, staff training, testing and go-live
Launch checklist and support after go-live
Run through this list before switching on live payments, whoever builds your store.
After launch, a store needs updates, backups and small changes every month. Our website and CRM maintenance plans include a separate annual maintenance contract for e-commerce sites. When you are ready, contact us with your product list and we will recommend a platform and package.
- Test orders paid by UPI, card, net banking and COD
- One cancellation and one refund processed end to end
- Invoice checked by your CA: GSTIN, HSN, tax split and numbering
- Customer-care and grievance officer details published, as the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 require
- Order emails and WhatsApp or SMS alerts arriving on real phones
- Checkout tested on Android and iPhone over mobile data
- Old URLs redirected if you are replacing an existing store
- Sitemap submitted in Search Console and purchase tracking live
Frequently Asked Questions
It depends mainly on the number of product categories and products, the platform, and extras such as wholesale pricing, delivery modules or ERP integration. Our e-commerce packages are grouped by category count, and the pricing page lists what each one includes. Also budget for yearly running costs: domain, hosting or a platform subscription, payment gateway fees on each order, and maintenance.
It depends on the number of categories and how custom the features are. Each package on our pricing page carries an indicative timeline, and we confirm it in the written scope. The most common cause of delay is product content, so collect photos, descriptions, prices, HSN codes and GST rates as early as you can.
If you plan to ship goods to customers in other states, GST registration is generally compulsory whatever your turnover, with only narrow exceptions. Payment gateways also ask for KYC documents such as PAN and bank details before activating live payments. Confirm your own position with your CA before launch.
Yes. COD can be restricted to certain pincodes or order values, carry a small fee, and require WhatsApp or OTP confirmation before dispatch. Many stores also offer a small discount for prepaid UPI orders to reduce refused COD parcels.
Yes, if you are registered under GST. Each order creates a tax invoice with your GSTIN, HSN codes and the right tax split: CGST and SGST for deliveries within Maharashtra, IGST for other states. Business buyers can enter their GSTIN at checkout, and your CA should review the invoice format before launch.
Yes. You get an admin panel to add or edit products, change prices and stock, run coupons and process orders. We upload a starting set of products in each category and show you and your staff how to use the panel before handover.
No one can guarantee rankings. We build the technical SEO foundations in from the start: clean URLs, category content, product structured data, a sitemap and Search Console. Ranking for competitive product searches needs ongoing SEO work after launch.
